Astrid was born and raised in Miami and graduated from Miami Country Day School. She attended Colorado University at Boulder where she received an Education and a Sociology Degree. She began her teaching career in Denver where she taught for five years. After living in Colorado for 10 years, she moved back to Miami and began teaching at the Cushman School for 20 years. She and her husband have two boys. Astrid has always loved working with children and continues to enjoy paths in education.
