Program Manager, Schools & Youth Programs
CLEO INSTITUTE
Diego Molina-Castrillon is the Schools & Youth program manager at The CLEO Institute. After graduating with a bachelor’s from FIU, Diego taught English Language Arts and Research in Miami, FL and Oakland, CA. In 2022 he earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Boston College. However, witnessing how the climate crisis was affecting the communities he taught in, and understanding the importance of empowering future leaders, Diego decided to leave the classroom while still remaining an educator. In The CLEO Institute he manages the Climate Resilient Schools program, which aims to improve climate change literacy through various approaches. The work he’s most proud of is working directly with student leaders by teaching the skills, providing a platform, and building a strong network so that they will be the leaders their community needs.
Diego is published in the National Science Teachers’ Association journal, has presented in several teacher professional developments and student centered climate summits.
