Our Innovative School second through fifth grade learners had an unforgettable adventure at the Biscayne Nature Center, bringing our school’s commitment to caring for the natural world to life.

On a gorgeous day in our own backyard on Key Biscayne, learners explored tide pools and discovered sea urchins, pipefish, shrimp, sea cucumbers, and even a lobster! Braving the chilly water made the learning even more memorable as learners immersed themselves fully in this incredible field trip experience.

The day connected directly to academic learning in science and environmental studies through hands-on exploration. Through it all, learners lived our KEHILLA values by learning how important it is to take care of the ocean and protect the ecosystems around us.
