At the Innovative School of Temple Beth Sholom, we recognize the importance of innovation not only in education, but also in the way we nourish our children. We believe that wholesome nutrition is essential to healthy cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. 

 

Our nutrition program is guided by the philosophy that children thrive on real, minimally processed food made with high-quality ingredients. We prioritize seasonal produce and follow the Dirty Dozen guidelines by selecting organic options for produce with higher pesticide exposure. 

Our meals feature:

– Whole grains and wholesome carbohydrates 

– High-quality proteins 

– Certified kosher meats 

– Dairy and dairy-free options 

– Gluten-free options available daily 

– No artificial preservatives 

– No artificial colors or flavors 

– 100% seed oil-free cooking using wholesome fats such as extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, butter, and other traditional cooking fats 

– Meals prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients 

 

We partner with families to honor each child’s dietary, cultural, religious, and medical needs. Please communicate any allergies or dietary restrictions during enrollment and classroom transitions. 

 

All meals and snacks are served at consistent scheduled times in a safe, supportive environment designed to encourage healthy eating habits and independence.
